Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay fighter from Thailand as well as mixed martial artist competing at flyweight within the UFC. Shevchenko is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champion and the fellow UFC participant Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports journey in the form of an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimity. Antonina followed it up and received a silver award in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008, and then a gold in 2011 and the 2016. IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision in her first bout. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night bonus during the fight. Shevchenko lost 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts, winning against Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
